The handles are inlaid with abalone shell, creating a wonderfully iridescent center around which the hand stamped pattern on the doors can radiate. Within, a glossy Navy lacquer provides rich contrast to the metallic exterior.

Jonathan Adler fell in love with pottery at an early age after taking a class at summer camp. Though he attended Brown University, Adler confesses to spending most of his time at the Rhode Island School of Design inspired by high fashion icons like Chanel.
