SoCo Pendant Light

Purchased two SoCo pendants for my powder room reno. I was attracted by the shape of the modern socket, the flexibility & finish of the cord, and the range of colors. We chose the modern pendant in a satin nickel with an orange cord. The ceiling plate covers the junction box without issue; we've seen cheaper imitations that barely covered North American electrical settings, leaving a gap between the fixture and the drywall. We bought two sets of bulbs: the half chrome Bulbrite bulbs and the GE Faceted (Crystal) bulbs. While the half chrome bulbs provide a sleek, modern finish to the pendant, the crystal bulbs adapt the pendants for a more traditional setting.

We're using these pendants in a vanity. Since our countertop is walnut, we wanted the focus on the wood. We dropped the lights to just above head height and used halogen floods to wash the counter and sink in a soft light.

There were very few choices for a simple pendant bulb. Multiple choices of cord color add to the design element.

Love this light! We are using it as a sculptural element in the entry of our showroom. I ordered the 16' cord which allows us to loop the cord and make an interesting visual. The only disappointment is with the ordange color. It looked too much like the color of an extension cord. I am now trying out the blue color.
