Made in Netherlands
Renowned Dutch artist Maarten Baas has designed the Smoke Dining Armchair for Moooi. Considered one of the most influential designers of the 21st century, this piece is no exception. Using a groundbreaking and provocative method of applying actual fire to the woodwork, each piece is a true original, as it has been organically shaped by the flame itself. After being treated with an epoxy resin and upholstered in leather, it's easy to see why this series landed in the New York Times as one of the Top 25 Design Classics of the Future.

Moooi

A project started by designers Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers in 2001, Moooi creates furniture, lighting and accessories for the truly intrepid lover of modern design. The name comes from the Dutch word for beautiful, adding an extra "o" to the word to express the company's "extra value in terms of beauty and uniqueness."
