- Brush off loose dirt. Spray on a cleaning solution of water and mild soap. Use a soft bristle brush to clean (avoid hard-bristled brushes on fabric). Allow cleaning solution to soak into the fabric. Rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is removed. Blot excess moisture with a clean, soft towel or sponge. Air dry. Teak is naturally amber colored but weathers to a silvery gray patina when left outside.
