The Sandstone Flow Vase from Uttermost takes its surface pattern from the movement of flowing sand dunes, translating that motion into a carved, textured exterior. Carolyn Kinder designed the piece so the pattern wraps continuously around the vase without a clear start or end point, creating a sense of ongoing movement across the surface. Handcrafted from terracotta, the vase keeps an earthy, tactile character that lets the carved texture remain the primary visual element of the design.
