• Regularly wipe steel with a microfiber cloth to remove build-up. Clean with warm, soapy water and wipe dry to avoid streaking. Always wipe in the direction of the grain. Spot clean with benzine on a clean, soft cloth. Chlorine- and acid-based cleaners will cause the steel to rust. Do not use steel wool, steel brushes or other abrasives. The surface of untreated wood will patinate and change color over time to silvery grey. To maintain untreated wood, use sandpaper (grit 120-150) once or twice a year. To preserve or intensify the original color, use suitable furniture oil on a regular basis. Store in unheated room during winter months.
