Poor quality fabrication
We received our fan and had it installed by an electrician only to discover that the outer cylinder wasn't round, so the fan wobbled. This isn't anything that balancing the fan can fix, it's a manufacturing defect. To their credit, Ylighting replaced the unit and had us dispose of the first (surprisingly - seems a waste since only the outer cowl was malformed). Before install I took the motor unit (with outer cowl attached) out of the box and spun it to discover the identical problem. Everything else about this fan is alright, but for $300 a ceiling fan shaped like a cylinder should be ROUND.
