We got these for our home's living and Mater bedroom. Built in the late 60s, our home has lower ceilings. We were hesitant, but decided on the white fan, which blends right in and doesn't draw the eye to it. The fans are modern, but also timeless and clean looking. We opted for no light on the fan as we also installed LED lighting throughout the house and we are so glad we went that route. The only issue was one of the wall controls did not work. We ended up using a more simple "slider" control on both units so they match. We are super happy with these fans and don't be afraid of the white - it doesn't look "dated" like my wide feared.
