We replaced two dated ceiling fans with the white Oslos and couldn't be happier with our choice! We're in a house with 8-foot ceilings, so we needed a pair of flush-mounts that wouldn't command too much attention in either the living room or the primary bedroom. The clean lines and minimalist form do just that: they're subtle, but when you do stop to look at them, it's about as satisfying as looking at a ceiling fan can be. Installation was a breeze, though the layout of the printed instructions wasn't easy to skim (good design is good communication, people!). The little hook on the mounting plate made it easy to hang both fans all by myself, no helping hands necessary. Some thoughts on build quality. The soft buttons on the wall controls are a little askew, which bothers me. The plastic fan blades are a much-cooler (blue-ish) white than the actual body of the fan—it's like seeing a sheet of bright white copy paper next to a warm, off-white white card stock. They're also kind of floppy, bending slightly under their own weight to create a noticeable curve. Color-matching the blades and making them more rigid seems like an easy win, guys! That said, the remotes (purchased separately) work great and the operation is nearly silent. No regrets, just nit-picks.

I bought 3 Oslo huggers. All three installed and one does not work. I am trying to RETURN it but the process is insane. I got sent into century link -- some service that is asking for power outages!!!! What am I supposed to do. I need a new fan that works!!! How do I swap the broken one. We have small rooms with low ceilings. This has the subtle, minimal look I was going for. I purchased two other fans for my downstairs rooms (TriAire Ceiling Fan by Fanimation Fans) which were more expensive, but this one was easier to install, looks better, and works better. It's dead silent. Only thing that's weird about it is you need to buy the remote separately (do that). Because I had to replace my switch with this little remote thing which is kind of odd.
