Designed by Virginia Sin, it finds its inspiration in the stark, architectural beauty of Egyptian obelisks and uses brass fittings to hold the shade in place, accenting it like jewelry.  The shade is made of either ceramic plates held in place by brass balls or an array of joined, faceted frames of French parchment held in place by a cylinder finial.
