Mix a radiant corona of light into your interiors with the Mortar Table Lamp by Jamie Young Co. A cylindrical cement construction makes up the body, smooth but robust surface offset by metal accents above and below as it tucks a single socket beneath a linen drum shade. The shade’s surface is slightly textured, banded by fabric strips at top and bottom for an added touch of complexity, and screens light from the side while casting a vertical hourglass pattern of light on any nearby walls.

Exactly what we were looking for. PROS: Great quality and bright output. CONS: A little bit of the glue on the top of the fabric lamp shade shows. Also added a dimmer switch option as you need to reach under the light to click it on and off

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Jamie Young Co.

In 1997, Jamie Young Jeter and her husband David Jeter took a day trip to Mexico and returned with a car full of flower pots. After selling the lot to a local florist, they realized the market for unique garden pots was wide open and began to produce them. As they tinkered with designs, they realized the pots would make interesting lamp bases, and the Jamie Young Company was born.
