Like a mantle draping over the surface of the body, accentuating every curve it touches, the Davide Besozzi designed Manto LED Pendant from Axo Light cloaks its light in an evocative, versatile manner. It's a piece where every element feels deliberate, from its sleek wiring to its telescopic cylindrical body, all telltale of great contemporary design. Evoking the vibrancy and gravitational pull of the sun is a hand-blown opal glass diffuser situated neatly atop a vertically adjustable rod. A circular panel of fabric below bends with the contours of the sphere in a sculptural glow when in contact and captures a uniform, diffused light when retracted above.
Started in 1996, Axolight is an Italian lighting company that designs and produces high-end contemporary lighting products. Each piece is handmade in Scorzè, Venice, Italy whether standard or a custom, bespoke piece. In 2018, Axolight launched its first sustainable product made of recycled nylon, glass fiber and aluminum.
