The Magma Table Lamp from Jamie Young Co. takes its name from the cratered, lava-like surface spread across its rounded body. Handmade from ceramic, each base is coated in a reactive glaze that shifts and bubbles in the kiln, leaving pitted pockets and raised spots that give it a stone-like depth. Patterns vary as the glaze responds to each firing. A drum shade with a rolled edge rests above the short neck, balancing the textured globe below.

Jamie Young Co.

In 1997, Jamie Young Jeter and her husband David Jeter took a day trip to Mexico and returned with a car full of flower pots. After selling the lot to a local florist, they realized the market for unique garden pots was wide open and began to produce them. As they tinkered with designs, they realized the pots would make interesting lamp bases, and the Jamie Young Company was born.
