The Kintsugi Love in Bloom Vase from Seletti takes the anatomical heart form and applies the kintsugi technique to it, the Japanese practice of mending broken objects with gold. Designed by Marcantonio, the fine porcelain surface is fractured into sections, some left plain and others decorated with floral patterns, all joined by seams of real twenty-four karat gold. Multiple openings at the top allow the piece to hold several stems, keeping the vase functional despite its sculptural complexity.
