Stately and sculptural, the Fun 8DM Chandelier from Verpan is a magnificent artistic triumph decades in the making. Originally designed by Verner Panton in 1964, its simple conception juxtaposes a complex and engaging design, relying on a broad circular canopy to suspend an evenly spaced array of chains below, each one supporting a curtain of small discs made from seashells around its inner lamping. Fun sheds a soft, playful radiance that puts Panton’s colorful character front and center, appearing to float when lit.
