I love this chair! Not only is it a wonderful piece of design and lovely to look at, it's comfortable to sit in - even for long periods of time. I purchased the ash finish, which really looks like plywood. I love the juxtaposition of the plywood material with the beautiful design. This is an all-around great chair. No wonder it's a classic!

Chair arrived and is just stunning in our room. I was a bit nervous about ordering the red but am so happy that I did. The red stain is a nice deep color but the wood grain still shows through. Everyone who sits in it remarks on how comfortable it is--it looks like a piece of art in your living room. Couldn't be happier with it.
Herman Miller
One of the most influential brands in American design, renowned for pioneering iconic mid-century modern furniture and lighting solutions, Herman Miller began its storied history in 1905 as Star Furniture Co. in Zeeland, Michigan. In 1923, businessman Herman Miller lent his name to the company, signaling a new chapter under the visionary leadership of his son-in-law, D.J. De Pree. This marked the beginning of Herman Miller's transformation into kingmakers of mid-century design.
