The Eames Molded Plywood Dining Chair with Wood Legs by Herman Miller brings some enduring charm to the spaces it is set in. Named as the Best Design of the 20th Century by Time Magazine, this iconic DCW or “Dining Chair Wood” began in 1946 as an experiment in designers Charles and Ray Eames apartment. Using an innovative technique, thin sheets of wood veneer were pressed against a heated membrane that was inflated using, of all things, a bicycle pump. The results of this experiment gave this hard material a soft, contoured look. Sculpted to fit the body’s shape, this recognizable and iconic chair is now expertly crafted and continues to beautifully support you in a comfortable, ergonomic position.
