The Drape Multi-Tier Chandelier by SkLO is an elegant, handmade composition designed by husband and wife duo Karen Gilbert and Paul Pavlak. Combining their backgrounds in metalsmithing, glasswork, and architecture, this design embraces the beauty of handcrafted techniques to produce a simple, unique installation. A series of brass rings support beautiful, handblown Czech glass spheres that showcase an organic yet man-made shape that creates a space for light to interact through. Each glass diffuser has a double-dipped, fire-polished mouth where the glass was broken from the blower’s pipe when each was individually formed.

SkLO

Located in Northern California, SkLO is the brainchild of artist Karen Gilbert, architect Paul Pavlak, and Czech-native Pavel Hanousek. The three met in Healdsburg in 2009, and after discovering a unanimous passion for hand-blown glass (sklo means “glass” in Czech), they decided to create a multi-disciplinary studio focusing on glass lighting and accessory design.
