Best looking door bell button
The Spore is the only door bell button I found that fits a minimalist/modern sensibility. It is good looking, simple, and comes in fun colors.
Installation Concerns
There were no screws provided to install the wires to the door bell... the kit only provided two wood screws to secure the door bell. The other design concern is that the mounting screws attach through the front of the housing and then the metal cover is adhered over the whole housing (with the equivalent of industrial double sided tape) covering the screws. If you want to remove the door bell in the future there is no way to access the heads of the mounting screws meaning you will need to forcibly remove the doorbell from the wall or break the housing (with a hammer). Looks fine, just a very questionable design.
5 Star Review
love it!
Nice flush mount door bell
This was the better of the two doorbells I purchased. The other one is bulky and does not mount flush like this one.
De Light for 800 High Street
These doorbells were affordable as well as stylish and were used as a project wide replacement for previous sub-par doorbells. Not one doorbell has failed and we are very happy with the price and delivery time.
Spore
Lamenting the lack of stylish modern doorbells available on the market, Ted Pierson and his business partner, Tom Gordon, founded Spore Doorbells in Seattle, WA, in 1997. Their focus in the design of their doorbells was simplicity and ease of use. Their first doorbell design, Square, fulfilled such goals with its clean shape and LED illuminated resin push button, and set the stage for the various Spore doorbell designs to come.
