Finishing Touch

The de-light doorbell added a small sparkle to our new entryway, a detail that resulted in smiles. We were able to coordinate the color of the light with our accent color, introducing a subtle theme that would be repeated upon entry.

A little detail that makes a huge difference

This Doorbell Button replaced a 25+ year old standard button, and really dressed-up the entrance area of my home. Basically, I went from cheap, ugly and yucky to "totally awesome". It didn't cost very much, and took about 5 minutes to install. The only question I have is 'why didn't I do this sooner?'

It's just a doorbell?

Very nice looking and well constructed. There are a couple of potential issues though: 1) the "finish" plate is attached to the mounting plate by adhesive - if you have to remove the finish plate, then you may mar that plate, bend that plate and will need new adhesive. 2) there isn't a waterproofing ring between the mounting plate and the exterior wall. If the exterior wall finish is stucco, the mounting plate doesn't seat against the wall. A moisture barrier ring would help this out. Had to use silicone to bug/waterproof. Would still buy this unit even with the issues.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Lumens was half the price of everyone else. Just as good, in fact, identical!

I was so happy to find this stylish and modern doorbell for our newly remodeled home. It is exactly what I was looking for, and definitely different than what's available in the big box stores. I love the look of it, and it looks great illuminated. It also works well with the new house numbers I purchased from Lumens.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Spore

Lamenting the lack of stylish modern doorbells available on the market, Ted Pierson and his business partner, Tom Gordon, founded Spore Doorbells in Seattle, WA, in 1997. Their focus in the design of their doorbells was simplicity and ease of use. Their first doorbell design, Square, fulfilled such goals with its clean shape and LED illuminated resin push button, and set the stage for the various Spore doorbell designs to come.
