The Costanzina Table Lamp from Luceplan blends in with one’s room style while catching the eye with precise form glazed in clean light. This time-tested modern piece comes from Paolo Rizzatto, a multi-disciplinary creator whose work shows architectural precision. This architectural precision shows in the table lamp’s balanced, low-profile metal structure. The dapper finish of the structure enhances the warm-hued display shown on the shade. This shade rests on the structure at 2 points for easy swapping. The polycarbonate shade gives a nod to classic lighting silhouettes in its tapered drum form. A flip of the switch filters out ambient light and funnels a cast glow on the table surface.

Great lamp, looks good almost anywhere. Be careful with the wand - I broke it in the first 10 minutes, and it was very difficult to open the casing and reassemble it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

So Close But....

I had high hopes for this lamp. The proportions are lovely and it l ooked very well constructed. But is has a fatal flaw. The stem wobbles. What makes this especially aggravating is that the manufacturer is aware of the problem fixed it in the floor model but doesn't feel the need to fix it with the table version. That's silly especially since the fix was to just add a rubber gasket so the knob cinches the stem down. If you can live with the stem flopping around some then you might be happy with this light but I couldn't and wasn't. It went back.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Luceplan

Established in 1978 by architects Riccardo Sarfatti, Paolo Rizzatto and Sandra Severi, Luceplan defined its goal of democratic quality design, free of stylistic clichés and opulence, from the very onset. This approach--soon acknowledged by the market and numerous international awards--was perfected when Alberto Meda, an engineer with a passionate love for design, joined the team in 1984.
