A joy in assembly and in silhouette. Created as a christening gift for a friend’s son, the Hans J. Wegner-designed CH411 Peter's Table from Carl Hansen rethinks the table as an object of play. Creator Hans J. Wegner’s love for wood shows in the unified, organic construction. Each edge of the table’s puzzle-like segments is rounded to rest safely in a child’s hands. The segments are refined for ease and fun in assembly. The segments come together to create a low-profile table defined by attractive angles. The rectilinear top is great for décor or a child’s every essential.

Carl Hansen

In 1908, Carl Hansen founded his Danish furniture company based on the premise that high-quality craftsmanship and efficient mass production could work well together. And he was right. With an efficient mode of production in place, the company really hit its stride once it started collaborating with a relatively unknown Danish architect, Hans J. Wegner, in the late 1940s (through the 1960s). The Danish Modern designs conceived by Wegner have proven so consistently popular that Carl Hansen & Son continues to make them today.
