Brighten desks, side tables, and counters alike with the Carpa Table Lamp from Forestier, a small fixture with intricate details. A simple, tasteful design from the mind of Jette Scheib, it brings a pure and playful spirit to its surroundings, sending up a slim stem from a rounded base to lamping set into a bell housing held by a short stem. Excess brightness is screened from the sides by a wide dish shade, with open rings accentuated by a web texture of metal wires.
Grounded in a passionate reverence for the ceaseless beauty of the natural world, it was a mesmerizing appreciation for the ornamental aspects of French gardens that provided the tipping point for Bernard Forestier to found his namesake company in 1992. Remaining true to those original aesthetics -- proportionality, balance, juxtaposing clean and curvy lines -- Forestier continues to move forward, employing new material mediums and pushing stylistic boundaries while continuing to advance the core disciplines upon which the company was built.
