Key Features
Sharing its name with the “bubble” in Italian, the Bolle LED Table Lamp from Vistosi creates a rousing display of cast light through a handcrafted globe infused with fine bubbles. The table lamp’s artisanal character underscored designer Barbara Maggiolo’s passion for glass and its atmospheric properties. The designer lets the material shine by giving it a minimalist spherical form. In a baloton technique, Glassblowers achieve the sphere’s dotting surface by inserting air bubbles into the glass surface individually. The bubbles catch brilliant highlights and give a textural quality to the radiant aura of light. The charming globe rests on a handsome, compact base to make the most of the room on one’s table.
One of Italy’s most prestigious and prolific names in Murano glassmaking, Vistosi specializes in hand-blown glass lighting fixtures with an expertise that can be traced to the 1500s. Officially incorporated as Vetreria Vistosi in 1989 with the Moretti family, Vistosi continues to invest in new technologies and methods of production compatible with the historical craft, resulting in an extensive collection of highly decorative yet durable lighting designs.
