The Bodyless Floor Lamp by Forestier is designed by multi-talented designer Arik Levy and presents an intricate personality through layers of sleek iron wiring. Supported by a circular base and slender body, the shade is formed into a rounded silhouette to contain its inner screens. Each layer’s wiring is angled at an alternating direction to present a lively motif when viewed from any direction. A white fabric diffuser at its core contains its lamping and produces a soft, ambient light.
Grounded in a passionate reverence for the ceaseless beauty of the natural world, it was a mesmerizing appreciation for the ornamental aspects of French gardens that provided the tipping point for Bernard Forestier to found his namesake company in 1992. Remaining true to those original aesthetics -- proportionality, balance, juxtaposing clean and curvy lines -- Forestier continues to move forward, employing new material mediums and pushing stylistic boundaries while continuing to advance the core disciplines upon which the company was built.
