Designed by Marianne Brandt in 1924 under the creative direction of Lazlo Moholy-Nagy at the Bauhaus Metallwerkstatt, the original Alessi Bauhaus Ashtray featured stainless steel and brass. This reproduction shines in 18/10 stainless steel, manufactured in 1995 under license from the Bauhaus Archiv in Berlin, and incorporates the same stylish cigarette rest and removable lid for easy disposal of ashes.
