Ballia LED Globe

The remote function DOES NOT WORK as expected. There is a button to push on the bottom of the globe to activate "remote" mode so you can turn it on/off via the provided remote control. However, the remote setting times out after 24 hours and you have to manually push the button again. This is to save the batteries from draining. If you turn them on/off via remote before 24 hours is up, then no problem. So I turn them on and off during the day once to keep the remote setting activated. BUT you cannot see if they are lit in the sunshine so I accidentally left one on all day and drained the battery quicker. It didn't run it out then but sooner than the other ones. So if you want to float them in the pool, you'll be fishing them out or having to go in all the time. I would recommend them due to their look but the functionality requires a lot of work - especially for that price! Also, you have to consider where you're putting them as to how accessible they are to manually turn over and turn off. Artkalia Customer service was really helpful, responsive and nice.

We bought these a few years ago. They arrived spread out over 6 months. We were in the middle of construction so I didnt open all boxes at once. After a year and a half, we finally opened them and we were missing a charger. Lumens wasn't helpful with our issue on this, but I'm still giving 5 stars and here's why... The company that makes these beautiful balls of light - Artkalia, they deserve 5 stars plus!. I called them directly and didn't have to jump through hoops and different reps, to explain my situation again and again ... the person who answered the phone was able to determine decisions and help me with what we needed. The art of customer service has suffered over this fast paced online shopping world. It's not that the customer is always right, but the customer deserves care and attention to detail when investing their time and money in products. - especially while buying online as opposed to in person. Someone mentioned the balls are plastic - yes some kind of resin that won't break around children or near swimming pools... and lasts through rain and sun. Its remarkable! Artkalia's designs add playful modern lighting in a tasteful, safe and sustainable way to accent the night at a cost that is reasonable when you consider all that you're getting. I bought this Ballia Globe thinking I could use it for both indoors and outdoors. I was wrong. I think it's OK as an outdoor light due to its portability and water proof design. But it totally did not work as an indoor light. Why? 1) it's not very bright at all and the size of the outer shell reduced the brightness of the light. 2) it looks and feel cheap. Plasticky. 3) You can't keep it plugged in so that it works all the time. You have to take it off the charger to use it. And keep recharging it every other day.

This light provides great ambiance. I thought I'd just use the white light but I always end up putting it on the transition mode which changes color continually. It's mesmerizing and very cool. I intended to put it out in the yard but I'm keeping it on the patio for now. it took about 15 hours for the first charge.
