A functional modern piece today, the Italian-made Twiggy Elle LED Arc Floor Lamp from Foscarini finds its origins in designer Marc Sadler’s mind as a mannequin holding a fishing rod. Sadler’s passion for art and intellectual curiosity makes for personality-filled designs. Sadler refines the visual of a fishing-rod holding man with a minimalist silhouette. Made from a strong, flexible synthetic fiber, the floor lamp’s stem creates a visual line that hugs a room. This sweeping curve holds its place with a solid and charming circular metal base. Peeking at the end with a curious look, a lacquered fiberglass shade tucks the bulbs inside its deep drum form. Turn it on and receive a blanket of clean downlight together with a soft ambient glow.
