A Jasper Morrison take on the woven cane brasserie chairs seen lining the Parisian streets. One look at the Alfi Chair High Back with Alfi Soft Slip Cover from Emeco and you instantly realize that what you’re getting is a piece that has been refined to its beautiful core. The chair is a story about simplicity. Morrison factors in simplicity and humbleness into an aesthetic he calls “super normal.” He sketches out the essential contours of brasserie chairs and presents them to you in a single shaped seat. Made from sustainable materials, this tall, arching seat hugs the body on its own but is set off by a foam-filled, upholstered slipcover. The retrofittable and removable cover tightly wraps the seat, giving it an elegantly tailored look. Made from reclaimed wood, the slender legs delight in their unique textures and warm hues.

Emeco

Electrical Machine and Equipment Company (Emeco) was founded in 1944 by Wilton Carlyle Dinges in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Dinges' first assignment came from no other than the U.S. government, to manufacture a strong yet lightweight chair that could withstand water, salt air and rowdy sailors. The result was the iconic Emeco Navy Chair, made enitrely out of durable machined aluminum.
