The 111 Navy® Chair carries the iconic silhouette of the original Navy® Chair built by Emeco, circa 1944, for use in submarines. Driven by awareness of today's environmental problems, Emeco and Coca Cola partnered together to form a chair made of up-cycled consumer waste. The 111 Navy® Chair is made of 111 recycled PET bottles, finished with a selection of versatile colors to complement modern-contemporary spaces.
First lets make things that last. Thats been the Emeco motto ever since their first aluminum Navy Chair came off the assembly line in 1944. Based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Emeco is focused on making recycling passe by making furniture that will last forever and never go out of style. Collaborations with designers like Philippe Starck, Frank Gehry, Ettore Sottsass and Norman Foster have contributed greatly to that vision.
