Montreal-based Gabriel Scott explores the symbiotic relationship between masculine and feminine. This relationship visualizes itself in the combo of the chandelier's sharp metal and smooth glass. Here, the angular metal hardware evokes the pointy prongs holding a ring's hand-cut diamond. Handblown into molds, glass gem shades dot across the air with a surface that gives you a diffused look at the bulbs inside. The sculptural movement of the shades across the air is realized with a versatile multi-point suspension. The chandelier sweeps across the room, delivering a soft, spacious glow and an imagination-inspiring silhouette.
Formed by Canadian brothers-in-law Gabriel Kakon and Scott Richler in 2012, Gabriel Scott designs and produces sculptural modern pendants, chandeliers and wall sconces inspired by jewelry. Often combining blown molded glass, marble and steel, each fixture is expertly handcrafted from their Montreal studio.
