hunterfan.comI have this remote and wall switch on my outdoor ceiling fan. It works well, but could be better with one upgrade. The wall control uses batteries to transmit the signal from the wall unit to the fan. This means when the battery dies, and it will. you have to unscrew the unit from the wall, pull it out of the wall and change the batteries and reinstall it into the wall. They need to power the transmitter with the A/C power already going into the wall unit. This would eliminate the batteries and going through all those steps to change them. Seems like a simple fix, I don't know why Hunter doesn't do it.

In 1886, the foundation for Hunter Fans was laid when John Hunter and his son, John C. Hunter, engineered the first water-driven ceiling fan for Tuerk Water Meter Co. in Syracuse, NY. By 1896, they had acquired Tuerk company, transforming it into the Hunter Fan & Motor Co. and launching the AC-powered Tuerk Type A fan in Fulton, NY. Over the years, Hunter expanded its product line to include oscillating desk fans, pedestal fans, attic fans, air conditioning units, air purifiers, humidifiers and even decorative lighting.
