I have a couple of Anglepoise desk/table lamps, but this is my first floor lamp and I am very pleased with it. I originally intended to use it in my home office, but when it arrived I liked it so much I put it in my living room instead, to use as a reading lamp next to my couch. Its adjustability is perfect, and the colors in this Special Edition 4 model blend well with my decor. I really couldn't be happier!
Anglepoise
Anglepoise started in 1899 by Herbert Terry and sons. They originally sold products that used their springs, like toasters, bike seats and spring clips. It wasn't until 1931 when George Carwardine established a theory for using balanced weights with these springs that Anglepoise introduced lighting to the company.
