Contemporary, bright light -- great for 9' foyers!
It took ages to find a flush mount that had an elegant minimalism but that was still bright for my approx. 120 sq ft foyer. Because my front door is 8', I also didn't want a pendant that dangled into the door opening. I adore this light -- it's a very, very accurate colored 3000K lamp, and is very bright -- I'd estimate it at around 4x 60 W incandescents. It looks modern, is bold without being overstated, and is fairly straightforward to install. Note that the size of the mounting base means installation is not just into the ceiling box but also into the drywall (or better, into rafters / joists above the drywall if possible) -- a certain amount of patience and potentially second set of hands will be helpful to align the lamp while making the secondary mounting points. One of my favorite lamps in the house, and for this space I'm extremely thrilled!
