Created by the renowned Marc Sadler, this piece underscores his trailblazing work in materials studies. Sadler combines his love for materials with intellectual curiosity and artistic passion. The idea for the pendant came to Sadler with the image of a mannequin holding a fishing rod. The mannequin’s rod is illustrated in the pendant’s slender suspension. Hanging below, a bleached-oak wood shade seduces with rich grain texture inside a classic tapered drum silhouette. LED light funnels through the wood and filters through an acrylic diffuser as a glare-free beam of soft illumination.
