Comments about True Illuminated Doorbell Button
The scale of this doorbell looks odd at least in a mid-century home - it is smaller than a half dollar and sort of disappears on a wall. That maybe what some people are looking for but I ended up getting the square larger button from spore.

very nice but wish the illumination was brighter.. not very bright.
Yup, I know it's $60. But it looks cool.

Overpriced? Yes. But if you've got to have a modern looking doorbell button that sports the realm of "nice touch" without being over the top, isn't that worth a splurge? That was my thinking. Plus, we had a great customer service experience when the wrong color button arrived-- Lumens made it right.
Simple and clean

I bought this door bell and originally when I received them I felt like they were to big… but after I installed them I loved the way they looked!

Great form, poor function
The doorbell looks beautiful, but after a few months the bell stopped working and the button got "stuck", so now I have to order another doorbell and pay for an electrician to come and fix it.

Lamenting the lack of stylish modern doorbells available on the market, Ted Pierson and his business partner, Tom Gordon, founded Spore Doorbells in Seattle, WA, in 1997. Their focus in the design of their doorbells was simplicity and ease of use. Their first doorbell design, Square, fulfilled such goals with its clean shape and LED illuminated resin push button, and set the stage for the various Spore doorbell designs to come.
