Great fan, Terrible Fit!!

The fan is great. But it is designed only for newer windows with thin jamb jutting up from the sill. It does not fit properly in a traditional double-hung window with a normal, flat sill, and the included foam blocks are cut and sized so that they are too short if you try to install the fan in such a window. Surely it would be easy to offer blocks that fit a traditional double-hung window!!

Best window fan

I love this fan, it brings in just enough cool air when needed. I actually run it in reverse when cleaning to help move the dust outside. I wish it had a filter option to keep the pollen from coming in. I also wish the vents closed completely since in NC some nights are hot & some are cold. When it's off, there's a draft of unwanted airflow.

Better than the standard window fan.

I has a lot of bells and whistles' it's pretty quiet, and has good air flow. I got this for summer, trying to stay ahead of the game, so I haven't actually used it, as it is still pretty cool outside. I am sure that it DOES NOT move air at the +1000cfm that it notes in its specifications

Useless for bedroom windows

This fan SHOULD be a perfect fit for use in bedroom windows, where you want a low-profile fan so you can still maintain a view to the outside. However, a standard bedroom window is 24" wide. The MINIMUM for this fan is 26". Don't know what the Vornado designers were thinking, making this fan too large for a standard household window.

Great Fan

I bought this about a month ago. I needed it to ventilate my garage. I live in a hot climate and my garage gets hot and humid such that everything rusts. So far the fan is keeping my garage somewhat cooler. I have it in exhaust mode.

Vornado

Vornado's origins trace back to the 1940s, born from the innovative minds of aeronautics engineer Ralph Odor and aircraft parts fabricator O.A. Sutton. The duo embarked on a journey to revolutionize the fan industry, leveraging Odor’s patented Power Vortex technology. This collaboration combined advanced aerodynamic engineering, similar to that used in aircraft design, to develop a fan that created a swirling airstream. This innovation significantly enhanced air circulation efficiency compared to the floor fan designs available at the time, marking the birth of a modern classic in the fan industry.
