Not Very Powerful

vornado.com/homeA little disappointed, as I have two other Vornado air circulators that I absolutely love. These fans really blow the air around, so I was expecting the same thing from the TRANSOM window unit. I was sadly disappointed when I set it up and turned it on. Even on power level 4, it barely pushes air. I'm surprised by this as the specifications specify 1600 RPM on high speed for the TRANSOM, which is higher than the high speed RPM on the other Vornado units I own. Not sure if the unit I received if defective and it should be moving the air better, but it seems there are quite a few reviews where the customer has experienced the same issue.

vornado.com/homeI had read all the reviews and was excited. But it does not cool anything! I bought the vornado transom a week ago. We planned to use it to cool a single bedroom, excited about the price and things we read. We bought it and installed it immediately. Does Not Work. The air coming out is not very powerful and it doesn't cool anything. The temperature control on the unit is merely for looks. This is nothing more than a gloried tower fan. You can stand in front of it and feel the air either pushing or pulling. But as soon as you step away nothing changes. It fit in the window fine and withstood high winds of our area. But nothing else good to say. We tried it for a few days and are returning it.

vornado.com/homeThis fan does exactly what I wanted it to do. I only wish that it could have been installed at the top of the double hung window instead of only at the bottom. I use it to pull hot air out of a hot garage in the summer and the hottest air is located at the top of the low ceiling. It does what it says but a higher installation in the window would make it that much more efficient.
Voronado air circulator review

vornado.com/homeReview of our Vornado air circulator. We've had it for about a month and it works well for our purposes. Our primary use is at our small galley kitchen window, and the compact size is perfect. The air is directly blowing on us when in the kitchen AND it nicely exhausts the cooking smells outdoors as well as remove heated air during this hot summer. My wife likes to use the remote, and I'm hands-on with the buttons on the circulator. We temporarily moved it to our 12 x 12 bedroom in anticipation of purchasing an additional circulator. Unfortunately, it was not strong enough to make a difference. We ended up buying a small, circular Vornado fan to blow directly on us and it works perfectly.
Powerful little unit

vornado.com/homeNot an ac, but exactly what I wanted from a fan. Quiet, powerful, elegant, low profile. It won't cool the whole room, but if I am in it's path I can sleep through the night comfortably
Vornado
Vornado's origins trace back to the 1940s, born from the innovative minds of aeronautics engineer Ralph Odor and aircraft parts fabricator O.A. Sutton. The duo embarked on a journey to revolutionize the fan industry, leveraging Odor’s patented Power Vortex technology. This collaboration combined advanced aerodynamic engineering, similar to that used in aircraft design, to develop a fan that created a swirling airstream. This innovation significantly enhanced air circulation efficiency compared to the floor fan designs available at the time, marking the birth of a modern classic in the fan industry.
