Great suspension!
Used these suspension kits in black, with black track and heads, to hang from our very high and sloped ceiling. Great modern/industrial look!
These work really well. Every thing you need is supplied acc
The suspension kit combined with the optional swivel adapters for cathedral ceilings were slick. Two words of caution. One, the rods only, come shrink wrapped in very clear plastic. I almost missed this it was so clear. The other point would be that the mounting clip to hold the track in place has two dress screws with chrome caps ( nuts ). These need only to be tightened ever so lightly otherwise you will flare out the bottom of the clip holding the track. We are talking not much more than finger tight. Otherwise the instructions were good.
Track Suspension Kit
I have a vaulted ceiling in my great room with only one electrical box embedded in a roof beam. I only had 2 choices to light the room. First, was to attach track lighting directly to the beam. The other was to drop the track lighting horizontal to the floor like you would see in a restaurant or industrial setting. I contacted a few electricians and spoke to a few lighting experts at various stores. All suggested calling an electrician who would modify the track lighting to suspend it. I searched far and wide on the internet to find this suspension kit. I did it myself, it was relatively easy and looks totally professional. I am very pleased with the outcome.
Neat as neat as I expected.
I bought the track suspension kit to suspend and feed power to the track through a straight line power connector. The suspension kit clamp is too narrow to properly holds the outside of the power connector. Even thought it does suspend the tracks from the connector, the clamp has to be opened on the ends which makes the clamp plates rest on an angle to the connector sides causing an ill looking fit. If your track will be suspended 8' or higher this might not be a problem because it would be hard to notice the ill fitting from below. My problem is that my tracks are suspended only 7' from the floor so the bad fitting is noticeable.
Nice Look - May need Adjustment
I needed a 12" length instead of the shortest available of 18". So you will need the adapter kit which requires cutting and drilling the rods. A bit more work than I wanted so you may want to carry a 12" rod too.
