Some might shy away from this lamp because of the hefty price tag. I myself held off on making the purchase for a long time because of that, but I'm so glad I did. This is the perfect little task lamp and can be suitable for some many different spaces in the home. In this case, you absolutely get what you pay for as the construction is immaculate. A hefty hand feel and solid make, I was specifically impressed by the on-off knob. So smooth! And the ability to dim this lamp at will is also a plus. Next time there is a sale, I'll be purchasing this in the brass color. #sweepstakes
