Tolomeo with Shade Table Lamp

This is the first time I have purchased this beautiful, classic piece with a parchment shade. It is absolutely amazing! My client loves it for his new, modern desk. It provides good, task lighting, and looks so elegant, I think we will use them as bedside lamps.

I purchased two of these lamps for a client's master bedroom. The arms of the lamp allow to direct the light where it's needed for reading in bed, and the paper shade softens both the light and the look of the fixture. Even though it has an utilitarian styling, it does fit well in a bedroom, and looks interesting and high quality. One thing to note is that the only way to adjust the light is with the arms, as the shade can not be adjusted. If you need that level of adjustment, the Tolomeo with the aluminum shade allows complete flexibility. The only feature that is missing in this lamp, is a built-in dimmer - but that can be added as an accessory later.

Perfect desk amp for a modern house.

I like the balance this lamp provides between light focused on a specific area and ambient glow through the parchment shade. The lamp is elegant and complements my home decor. I agree with others it would be nice to have a built-in dimmer like the mega floor lamp but it's absence is by no means a dealbreaker.

We have several Tolomeo's at home and purchased the classic table lamp for reading. It gives off great light with a soft warm glow. One thing to keep in mind is that the shade does not angle like the classic or micro Tolomeo table lamps. Therefore, one alters the position of the lamp by adjusting the angle of the arm. The shade is always vertical.
