A classic
Verified Buyer
Certainly, the Tolomeo is a classic. I chose it because it articulates in so many ways allowing one to place the light exactly where needed. The shade softens the look and adds some ambient lighting when that effect is desired. The negatives, in my view, are that it does not have a replaceable LED bulb and that it does not have a dimmer however, one could plug it into a plug-in dimmer if one wished to dim the lamp.
Zero stars
I just broke this lamp trying to assemble it. The assembly is seriously frustrating and it's fragile enough that I couldn't put it together without it breaking. Don't waste your money.
Perfect for its job!

We love our Tolomeo w/ Shade Reading Floor Lamp -- perfect height for sofa, lounge chair or reading chair. A low wattage bulb creates both nice ambient light and good reading light. The fixture's simple design adds a contemporary note to the room, and simultaneously can disappear, as it is delicate in structure, neutral in materials, and unimposing in scale.
Very stilish modern floor lamp
Verified Buyer
I love my new Tolomeo floor lamp! It has a very clean and simple profile, excellent for my reading nook. It adjusts at the bottom and at the elbow, with a nice small shade. I had an issue with the bulb. I installed an incandescent bulb, then took it out. When I placed the bulb back in, the lamp wouldn't turn on. Customer service was very quick and efficient to refer me to the manufacturer to reset the lamp. Thank you for a great customer service!
Flawed design but beautiful
I purchased three of these lamps, originally for condo rental properties, and now two are in my home. The dimmers wear out after a few years, and need replacing. The lamp base isn't heavy enough to keep the lamp standing straight up, so it leans about 5 degrees. The screws on the arm joints can't hold the too-heavy lamphead from gradually falling, no matter how hard you tighten the screws.
Artemide
Artemide takes its name from Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon—a reflection of the brand’s ethos in creating fixtures that deliver an elegant, ethereal glow. Founded in Milan in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza, Artemide has been a driving force in Italian modern design.
