As one of the largest in the Birds collection, the Iittala Toikka Bird - Whooper Swan remains just as balanced and graceful as its elegant, long-necked namesake. It is made out of individually mouth blown glass, with a dark beak contrasting with the paler plumage. Designed by Finnish glass master Oiva Toikka.

From humble beginnings as a small glass factory, today Iittala offers a wide variety of modern Scandinavian housewares that demonstrate the company's commitment to design quality and product longevity. Based in Helsinki, Finland, Iittala continues to make cookware, tableware and other home accessories that are both lovely and useful, based primarily on the forward-thinking philosophies of design icons Kaj Franck and Alvar Aalto.

The Toikka Bird - Whooper Swan is available with the following:
  • Designed by Oiva Toikka
  • Material: Mouth blown glass
  • Made In Finland
  • Color: White
  • Item: Width 13", Height 8.25", Depth 8.13"
More Information:
  • Oiva Toikka created his first Bird in 1972. Since then, the Birds by Toikka series has grown to include over 400 finely feathered figurines. At least one new bird (and now also an egg) joins the collection every year. Every bird and egg are individually mouth-blown, giving each its own unique detailing and personality.
