Design studio Space Copenhagen and Mater team up with a shared mission for making a sustainable design with a timeless Scandinavian aesthetic in the Dining Chair from Mater. Space Copenhagen approaches this mission with what they call Poetic Modernism. An approach that takes opposite motifs like classic and modern and fusing them to create multi-dimensional pieces like this one. To give shape to their ideas, Space Copenhagen uses wood that’s been FSC-certified to protect its locally harvested ecosystem. The wood is artfully crafted in fluid contours and soft shapes that look just as good as they feel. Nothing quite matches the feel of soft leather. With leather processed under the strictest ethical requirements, fine upholstery is applied to the chair to give your body a gentle, embracing surface.
