Emeco produced the Su Small Stool, Reclaimed Oak Seat in inspiration of the Japanese aesthetic 'su'. The application of su in Emeco's designs challenges them to engineer furnishings from traditional categories, with strong eco-conscious materials. From fruition to final production, Emeco has re-invented their historical recycled aluminum seating to carry refreshing characteristics, such as reclaimed oak. Su Small Stool, Reclaimed Oak Seat, a genius application of nature and industrial materials, blossoms in timeless environments.

Emeco

Electrical Machine and Equipment Company (Emeco) was founded in 1944 by Wilton Carlyle Dinges in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Dinges' first assignment came from no other than the U.S. government, to manufacture a strong yet lightweight chair that could withstand water, salt air and rowdy sailors. The result was the iconic Emeco Navy Chair, made enitrely out of durable machined aluminum.
