Made in Czech Republic
The Starcloud Vega LED Mini Pendant from Brokis widens into a flat, saucer-like shade that narrows sharply into a small point underneath, its surface scattered with tiny bubbles left over from the handblown process. Designer Lucie Koldova drew the form from astral shapes, suspending the glass on a thin cable with no extra framework needed around it. Depending on the angle, light passes through that bubbled surface differently, changing how the shade looks from one side of the room to the other.

Brokis

Brokis was founded in 2010 by a group of glass artisans based in the Czech Republic. Though their company is young, the designers’ accumulated experience in the age-old art of Bohemian glassblowing has bolstered their portfolio with a range of quality hand-made lamps. Their lighting collections have since achieved acclaim by combining traditional, hand-blown glass with other high-quality materials, such as wood and hand-pressed metal.
