Spacesaver LED Ceiling Fan

My questions about the wall control and electrical switch were not correctly answered. We mounted the fan two months ago but the switch wiring was above our abilities. The electrician came today only to tell us that we would need additional wire through wall and attic. This wall mount should easily control light and fan as salmon said. Very costly to do both.

I purchased 2 of these fans. They are a perfect for certain applications as they are small, have 4 speeds and a nice LED light. If have a 3 wire fan set up from switch to fan it's perfect. If you have 2 wires from switch to fan I would advise against going this fan. You can't control the fan and light separately. Normally you would install a wireless remote control but there is none on the market that are compatible with this product. MinkaAire's own remotes don't even work with this fan. And the product description does not warn the consumer of this situation. Make sure you have 3 wires from switch to fan or can add one easily.

This is a fabulous fan for small spaces. I do recommend a licensed electrician to install due to the light and speed control installation. Looks great and doesn't overpower the room. This fan replaced one that had long blades and Victorian glass globes in a 10 x 10 room! This fan is powerful and quiet. Cooled the room in just a few minutes, and this room is on the sunny side of the house. Recommend this style for modern, contemporary, bauhaus style homes. Very happy with this purchase. Oh, and only weighs 12 lbs.

Although the switch is a little hard to install, it is very convenient to have all the features on the switch, so you don't have to have chains hanging down. Installed it in our summer trailer, so didn't get to use it, as it wasn't received until after we were done using the trailer for the summer.

Noisy motor and clicking sounds. Not happy with this purchase.
