Bring space-age style and out-of-this-world illumination to your rooms with the Space Outdoor Rechargeable LED Table Lamp from Kartell. It's a gravity-defying display sporting a robust yet lightweight plastic construction. The table lamp comes by way of luxury interior designer Adam Tihany. It deploys an hourglass form and a dish shade that resembles the Seattle Space needle in silhouette. The striated and translucent quality of the forms filters bright glare from the LED lamping into a uniform ambient glow. This glow creates a pattern of energetic linear highlights on the piece, further enhancing its sculptural quality.

Kartell

Based in Milan, Italy, Kartell was founded in 1949 by chemical engineer Giulio Castelli and his wife, architect Anna Castelli. Originally a producer of car accessories, it was Kartell's experimentation in plastics for the home that made them famous. Stylish home accessories and lighting dominated the 1950s, with the first injection-molded furniture emerging in the 1960s. Since then, the Kartell modern furniture line has only continued to grow, including contemporary chairs, tables, sofas and more--all made out of durable, lightweight and surprisingly comfortable plastic.
