OK For Outdoor Use
Made in Denmark
The Slotsholmen Outdoor Cushion from FDB Møbler uses a distinctive woven textile originally developed at The Royal Military Clothing Factory for horse blankets in the Danish Army. The fabric was adapted for furniture use during the 1970s and became a significant export success on Danish design pieces before Danish Art Weaving assumed production in 1995. FDB Møbler has revived this collaboration to reintroduce the historic textile to current generations, bringing material heritage with roots in military applications and mid-century design into contemporary outdoor furniture contexts.

FDB Møbler

Based in Albertslund, Denmark, FDB Møbler remains a torchbearer of timeless Danish design—producing sustainable, high-quality furniture intended to endure both physically and stylistically for generations. In 1942, amid a world dominated by heavy, ornate furnishings accessible only to the privileged few, a quiet revolution began in Denmark.
