Nice fan - shorter down rod does not work

Do not use the shorter down rod or the fan will not produce any airflow. I found out the hard way and had to remove it and reinstall using the standard down rod. The instructions are somewhat difficult so take your time. It looks great and runs quiet.

We have a Modern Forms fan in our family so I know how nice they are. I ordered another one for our outside patio, it is very nice, but, the installation was probably the worst ceiling fan I've done and I've done a lot! The way the blades slide in the base, trying to line them up and add the metal plate and three screw was ridiculous to say the least. And if you scratch a blade during install, it shows the white plastic underneath, made me quite angry considering how expensive they are. The power and wind production is nice as expected, better than the two off-brands I had installed prior. But the lack of electrical plugs for this price point is questionable. Even our $300 fan from Lowe's had organized the wires into plastic plugs, which was very nice. Seeing the loose wires and bare tips for this fan was surprising.

We were updating our home with a few things and discovered this ceiling fan as a nice update to the family room. This moves the air great, better than the one being replaced, and is very quiet. I have installed/replaced several ceiling fans over the years and this one only has one issue. The instructions can be a bit confusing and there should be an option for installation without the remote control option. If wall switches are already in place for basic functionality, the wiring should allow for that. Other than this small item, it looks and functions great and would highly recommend.

Great product tho it beeps with all mode switches BUT you can reach out to company and they'll remotely stop the beeps
